Download Alice in Wonderland Online
The mental images formed by most people anytime the words “Disney” and “Alice in Wonderland” are used together are so much a part of our culture that to call them “presumptions” wouldn’t be fair. Disney’s original Alice has become one the studio’s most recognizable characters, and a pop culture icon in her own right.
So it shouldn’t be too surprising if you should see some old-school Disney/Alice fans leaving theaters in a sort of dazed coma next month when Tim Burton’s new “Alice in Wonderland” opens. To the unprepared innocents that are expecting a new, live Alice, similar to the transition made by Beauty and the Beast to Broadway, we’d like to offer these things to keep in mind before you download Alice in Wonderland online and seeing the film.

1) This is not an Alice in Wonderland re-make. It is an original story written for Lewis Carroll’s characters by the same screenwriter who penned Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Though the characters are basically the same, this new Alice adventure is actually a sequel. The story begins with an older, teenage Alice, who has forgotten her previous childhood excursion down the rabbit hole.
2) The 1951 Alice was intentionally lighter, more colorful and more family-friendly than the original story by Lewis Carroll. As a long-time personal project, studio founder Walt Disney practically re-invented the classic in an attempt to create a visual version of a literary work whose charm lied in its use of language. Whatever was lost in the translation was compensated for by the use of brilliant colors. Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is not lacking in color, but the hue is much darker,in every sense of the word. In short, this version is unlikely to induce sweet dreams in anyone who download Alice in Wonderland online.
3) This Alice is directed by Tim Burton. To many, that’s a description that needs no further clarification. Still, there are some for whom it will mean nothing. If you’re one of those, suffice to say that heart touching stories with a slight darkness to them have almost turned Burton into his own film genre. He is the best in telling the stories he tells. Those stories, however, don't always appeal to those with little or no appreciation for the beauty of eccentricity.
To be fair, it's probably best to compare 1971’s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (not Burton’s) with 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Burton’s). Most people have a preference for one or the other. Expect the same type of creative preferences among Alice in Wonderland fans.
